0.4 beta now available

The newest version of the glype proxy script, 0.4 beta, is now available from the downloads section of the site.

Changes
- massively revamped javascript parser (although where possible removing scripts is still recommended)
- added a plugin system that will allow sites such as YouTube to be viewed, if desired
- and a load of other changes to hopefully improve performance a little

How does the plugin system work now? will a plugin need to be written to allow youtube to work?

Plugins are just addons to the parser that apply only to specific sites. For a youtube plugin, you'd just need to upload a file named youtube.com.php to the /plugins/ folder and it'd automatically be used whenever the youtube site is browsed. But of course someone still needs to write the plugin first!

I don't know when I'll be able to look at it but hopefully I'll get my internet access back soon and can continue developing the proxy properly.
